Capacity Development

Key Achievements

Since the Institute became operational in 2007, it has responded significantly to the prevailing dearth of skills and capacity within civil society in West Africa through its customised trainings and technical assistance programmes that respond to performance gaps within the civil society sector.

Between 2007 and 2018, the Institute’s capacity development programmes have benefitted more than 4,120 development practitioners working in 22 countries in Africa. These beneficiaries came from 3,206 CSOs.

Additionally, the Institute has delivered programmes in 12 countries in the region.
