WACSI promotes research that seeks to fill knowledge gaps and contribute to influence policies in West Africa. The Institute also equips researchers, civil society actors and civil society organsations (CSOs) with robust skills to conduct basic and applied research that can contribute to influence perceptions of West Africans and policies implemented in the sub-region.
The Institute is organizing a course on Policy Research Methodology and Policy Analysis for researchers and programmes staff of policy Think Tanks as well as research officers, communications officers and policy officers of CSOs in West Africa.
The course will hold from October 24 – 26, 2012. The course costs $300.00.
Applications are currently being accepted from potential participants until October 1, 2012. This course will enhance the participants’ skills in policy research and policy analysis, research report writing and data collection techniques. Participants will learn how to adopt the appropriate methodology and apply the right techniques to enhance their research work.

The Institute has a resource centre that is open to civil society actors in the region. It serves as a library of civil society documents, research reports and edited volumes that are accessible to both individuals and organisations. The Institute has partnered the Foundation Centre to provide online learning resources and a database of grant giving institutions in the United States of America.
