The purpose of this role is to support Save the Children humanitarian health programmes, with a primarily West and Central Africa regional focus, so as to expand our reach in new emergencies and chronic crises and increase our effectiveness.

GB£ 32,750 per year - plus family posting and benefits package
2.5 years until July 2015
We are significantly scaling up our frontline health and nutrition capacity in acute emergencies and chronic crises to deliver more effective programmes with greater reach.
What you’ll be doing: Contributing to our programmes through technical support and by developing new policy, challenging our current practices, and initiating innovations.
Spread of focus:
- Country technical support (50%)
- Policy, innovation and learning (30%)
- Technical capacity building (15%)
- Advocacy and representation (10%)
- Other (10%)
We’re looking for: an experienced French speaking health worker with a can-do attitude who’s practical and not afraid of ‘getting involved’. You’ll be driven by a desire to learn, grow and progress and will be at ease working with a broad spectrum of people in sometimes challenging and changing environments.
