Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) invites researchers, practitioners, and students to contribute to the West Africa Civil Society Series (WACSeries)—a platform for critical analysis, debate, and policy-relevant ideas shaping civil society in the region.

For 2026, WACSI is running two calls: a special call on AI for Social Change, with a submission deadline of 22 May 2026, and a general WACSeries call, open all year round, focusing on civil society sustainability, technology for development, women and youth leadership, and the enabling environment for CSOs.

This is an opportunity to share ideas, influence policy, and contribute to thought leadership on civil society in West Africa.
