Multi-Stakeholder Reflection Meeting on COVID-19 Responses in Ghana
On Wednesday 19 August 2020, over 90 stakeholders from the private sector, civil society and government convened to reflect on the gains they have made to curb COVID-19 in Ghana. The meeting was organised by the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) with support from the STAR Ghana Foundation with the goal of ensuring that Government, Private Sector and Civil Society share learning, lessons, and experiences from their respective COVID19 responses in Ghana. The online event witnessed the participation of over 90 participants.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Minister of Information who delivered the keynote address highlighted the significant gains the government, together with its partners have made to minimize the devastating effects of COVID-19 in Ghana. He commended the organisers and urged all stakeholders to critically examine innovative ways through which cross-sector collaborative actions could be promoted in the continued efforts to eliminate the effects of COVID-19 in Ghana.
