Regionalising African Civil Societies: Lessons, Opportunities and Constraints
In this new approach, civil society organisations (CSOs) are recognised as important actors on the regional political playing field. It also raises questions about to what extent civil society is regionalised and if civil society actors can contribute to a regionalisation from below and also construct regional identities as a basis for alternative regionalism. This workshop aimed to contribute to this agenda with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
