The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a regional non-governmental organization dedicated to enhancing the capacity of civil society organizations in West Africa towards a peaceful and prosperous West Africa where development is driven by its people.

As part of a global consortium including GERES and CARE International, WACSI is co-implementing the Agence Française de Développement – funded project titled “Féminisme: Actions et Mobilisation pour une Economie inclusive” (FAME). The FAME project aims to strengthen the economic empowerment and agency of women, marginalized individuals, and feminist CSOs in the global South, as well as foster inclusive development and economic justice.

The Grants/Project Officer will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the FAME project, focusing on managing grants, supporting feminist programming, and ensuring alignment with project priorities across the region. The ideal candidate will possess a background in grants management, extensive experience in gender, women, or feminist programming, and a deep understanding of the dynamics within West Africa’s civil society landscape.
